as far as i can tell with my own contacts, only name and email address were used for synching.
ahh thats possibly why, thanks.
Dont suppose anyone made an app on the iphone for MACrumors.com at all???? would be very handy in a similar form to the facebook app rather than using safari

I wonder if this has anything to do with Apple's recent hire?
http://www.macrumors.com/2010/03/15/apple-hires-expert-in-wearable-computing/
For Example:
http://www.ikey.com/ProductsList/?productID=158
http://l3shop.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=LSOS
hmmm... PA Semi's previous military contracts might have to do with this as well.
Any conspiracy theories? lol

don't have those Amazon placeholders a pretty bad reliability index?
Anyway ... I think for things like an OS there will always be the need for some kind of external medium (e.g. if you install from scratch - e.g. harddrive died and you need to install a new OS) ... but USB stick would be a nice alternative to DVD (I'm not using my DVD drive for anything and might want to skip it in the next update if there is an option to get a second drive instead of DVD)

Trackpad is larger and provides more space for fingers than the touchscreen would when you're utilizing those gestures. Difference between a swipe and a full-hand pinch.
Maybe you have really abnormally large fingers! :D
A full-hand pinch isn't that hard to do on an iPhone/iPod Touch

I don't think anyone doubts the machine can do the expose effect (the iPad 1 does it in Safari just fine).
There are plenty of reasons it might have been turned down for their final switcher implementation. One, the final iOS allows a variable number of programs to remain open depending on their memory requirements. The expose implementation implies that 9 can be open. That's inconsistent UI. Two, as others have mentioned, you can't always tell the difference between apps at a glance from little screenshots. So they went with icons in the end.
It can be scrollable. And can't icons just be overlaid in the corner a'la Lion Mission Control?

A call from The Consumerist to AT&T online sales:
Daphne: Welcome to AT&T online Sales support. How may I assist you with placing your order today?
Laura: Hi, I was looking at the iPhone 3Gs and the system tells me that I cannot order one in my ZIP code. My zip code is 11231. (Brooklyn, NY) Is this true? Are iPhones no longer available in New York City?
Daphne: I am happy to be helping you today . Yes, this is correct the phone is not offered to you because New York is not ready for the iPhone.
Daphne: You don't have enough towers to handle the phone.
Laura: Thank you for your help. So the phone is not available to people anywhere in the city?
Daphne: Yes this is correct Laura.
-----------
This is an effing joke. You are actually trying to stop paying customers from using your service? AT&T, you're an embarrassment. Apple had better make sure this exclusivity ends next year. This is about as ridiculous as it can get.

I wonder if this increase is an accurate reflection of the market. PC sales always tend to drop off hugely in the run up to a new windows release.

As of today at 1800 GMT+1, Klm stated that they had preliminary talks but were no where near to closing the deal. source. www.nu.nl
I allready posted that, but everyone seems to be overlooking this fact (including you :P)
So, this time in bold:
People, one of the airlines mentoined has denied the deal, so it's not sure if it is true!

"AT&T may 'periodically modify [their] promotions and distribution channels.'"
Not so much doubt cast, unless one believes that such periodic modifications are random and mercurial.
AT&T sucks, plain & simple. They've been allowed to score big w/ their exclusive iPhone contract, and think that marketing will remedy the problem.
Wake up Apple.

Very cool idea. Now, what airlines need to do is publish this information on their websites so you can know when choosing your seats what are the accommodations of 19F.
I always use seatguru.com to choose a good seat.

It will be a surprise if they don't name a phone iPhone after getting all those trademarks. They certainly wouldn't save it for another future product while coming out with an Apple-branded phone.
Is there any chance they have another name in mind for their product but got the patents in order to lock up the name to prevent competitors from using it? Personally, I doubt it.

Capacitive home button sounds believable as apple has gone away with buttons on the MacBooks trackpad. Apple likes touch, not clicking. Lol
Would be useless. Can you imagine gaming with this? The only way it would work would be if it required a two finger swipe or other gesture. Or swipe from the home button up to the screen. It it activated just by touch, the iPod would now be useless for gaming.

More importantly, how is it relevant to the discussion at hand?
Or is he lamenting the consequences of losing Planned Parenthood and the services they provide?

Actually Dale - hats off to you for resurrecting the challenge. While I enjoy many of the threads in MR, this is by far the one of greatest interest to me. Taking on a challenge and working to achieve it in an image; getting specific feedback from others ... these are invaluable. Thanks much.
Now to figure out "beauty in unexpected places". this one is, for me, a much harder concept. At least, to do so without being cliche.
