I tend to use all the office apps and go back and fourth depending on needs. The exception is PowerPoint for Windows, I don't use that very much.

Nobody said they had no right to sue. And, unlike Wiid, I don't think it's ridiculous for anyone to defend their patent rights; some parties have more merit to their cases than others but you don't know until you go through the process. Don't know who wins here, but my guess is minor cash and cross-licensing is in the future.

Nobody is upset that after 4+ years they're STILL using the chrome back?!?!?Yes this still bothers me. It makes great demo, to borrow a phrase from Fearless Leader, but it's scratched in some way in the first 5 minutes and after a month, Ugh... after a year: Scratchapalooza.

The thread here is funny. So many off topic rambles.
But... this seems like a great thing! Fast I/O between the iOS device and the Mac. It will make for amazingly fast throughput and it standardizes on one port. Yes, another change, but in the long run, it should be awesome. Let's hope this happens.

Um, no it doesn't Fuji S1, S2, S3 RAW Files are not supported. This camera is used by more wedding photographers than any other.

i predict a 10" (or similarly small size) macbook, along with core 2 bumps for the macbook pro. i predict the 10" or such b/c a friend of mine (who has big connections in the 'tech world' (he is an IT director and somehow magically knows a lot of people in the 'tech world' (like he implimented a wireless network before there was wireless networking, he got some pre-production 802.11b gear before it was standardized, he also did the same thing with a gigabit router)) anyway, he told me he has been demoing a 10" mac laptop. and i was just like 'sure whatever you say' (cause sometimes this guy can be completely full of *hit.) but he eventually convinced me that he has actually seen some 10" mac laptop demo computer somewhere. im still pretty skeptical about it, but this guy is a big mac hater, so the only reason he would try it is if it was some 10" super portable machine. b/c he does LOVE ultra portable laptops, and he is kinda getting a liking for mac, only because he can run windows on it! (though he has yet to actually purchase a mac)

If Intel comes out with a sub 3000 dollar machine with 4.7 Ghz, I'm sorry Apple, but you had better get something better than what you have.
I'm not going to be a customer of a company that charges just as much for 1/4 of their competitors product.
Go ahead and flame me...I know that the Mhz of the G4 and P4 don't match up in performance, but there's too big of a speed gap for there to be any doubt in my mind of which is faster.

Some older Mac Minis can have the CPU upgraded, but on both 09 Minis (they are very, very similar) the CPUs are definitely soldered on. This kind of info would be shown in a teardown of a Mac (these tend to be done fairly quickly after a new model is released)

Until not that long ago Fox controlled DirecTV, so that is likely why.
They have a program you can use on your computer to watch your dvr from your computer, but it has issues.. One is it does not work on a computer with dual monitors, which is just dumb.
It's not DirecTV that has a good app, it's Tivo, which powers directv boxes... don't give DirecTV any credit, they're stuck in the 90s

No, it doesn't. The line-in port does not supply power for a microphone.
Which line in port? Are you talking about the (now removed) line-in on the 30 pin connector (not on iPhone 4) or are you talking about the second ring on the TRRS headphone/mic connector?

It's not the job of the government (or government funded agencies) to teach people how to not get knocked up and give out birth control. I don't have any objections to this. I don't pay taxes so Sally doesn't pop out another unit.

My understanding was different. I take it that they are taking the same stance that Wal-Mart is, and that is that if the movie industry allows iTunes to sell movies, they will make the record companies pay for it (in a negative way). The retailers aren't ready to take on iTunes and the online market, so they are going to use their power to stall the transition to digital downloads as long as they possibly can.
What Target is doing is anti Apple, and more importantly, anti the progression of technology and lifestyle.
