What are people mainly using the Push for? I certainly wouldn't want to be updated every time one of my friends posts on Facebook... I know there are different settings - just wondering what kind of updates people use this for.
I don't get all the confusion people are having...
The push notifications just push your facebook.com notifications... the little red numbers at the bottom right of the screen. Those, including new messages in your inbox and event invites (which don't show up as badges because they don't show up as little red notifications in facebook.com to begin with.)
You don't receive a facebook.com notification whenever one of your hundreds of friends updates there status, so you won't receive a push notification on the facebook app either.

Nope. Nothing has changed in the UI and no noteable new features. As far as the super secret Leopard features, dongmin, they still remain super secret although the few new features in the preview are quite handy and have already become "How did I ever live without this?" kind of valuable to me.
I haven't noticed any major changes so far since the update.
I wish folks would honor their NDA so we don't lose the privilege of getting developer preview releases this earlier.

This girl must have you star-struck, eh? Sending messages over to other computers in the apple store is difficult. They always have these odd names for ichat/bonjour services, so it's not likely you'll be able to do this on your first try. You could be sending a message to another GUY somwhere in the store for all you know.

That is just it, I have no idea if she that hot because I hardly know her, and physical appearance only goes so far. As far as hiding behind "i dont care" as steeleclipse mentioned, I am not hiding behind it, I am stating a true fact, which myself of all people should realize to be true. If I go there again I am not going to avoid her, I would hope she doesn't feel the urge to avoid me considering I haven't done anything to her, and frankly shopping doesn't require purchases, so I shouldn't be forced to only enter the store when I have a need to purchase, I like to browse. I would not at all be pissed if she dated someone else, for all I know she could be right now and that is great for her. I simply thought she was an attractive and interesting person, and since I have a poor history of initiating contact with women I like, I thought I would ask around. I guess my purpose didn't quite filter in to all of your understandings :p

I don't take offense to much, this is no exception so no worries on that front. The comment about she can look me up still seems valid in my mind, solely because if she was interested, she can look me up if she was really curious. I realize that women are not required to do so as men commonly are (retarded rule in my opinion) however I am not forcing anything on her, I was just stating a fact.

IMO the older silver MBP's are nicer looking than the current unibody design.

Anybody remember when WalMart advertised that the products they sold were "Made in the USA"? Sad time my friends, sad times.
Funny story on that.
The small town where I grew up had a Western Auto store. It was the place to buy all kind's of stuff, including bicycles. My family was friends with the family that owned the store, I heard this tale from the father.
After WalMart opened in our town, sales at the Western Auto slowed. The guy went down to WalMart to check out what they were doing. He found the same brand of bike he was selling, being retailed at 1-2% more than was paying for them. The next time the bike manufacturers rep came by, he asked him about this.
"Well", the sales rep said, "volume discount this, economies of scale that, efficiency the other".
"But my families store has been supporting your brand for 40 years, where's the loyalty?", or words to that effect.
"Well, times change", was the answer.
A year goes by, and the bike manufacturer rep is back at the WA, where he sees a good assortment his brands bike, including new models just released the previous month. He goes to the store owner and asks him "Where did you get these new bikes? You haven't place an order with us in 8 months"
"I bought them at WalMart".
"Why would you do that? You can get them cheaper by buying them direct"
"Not a lot cheaper I couldn't. And I figure either WalMart is selling them for no profit, or you are. So by buying them at WalMart, I'm *********g one of you sons of bitches, and that makes me happy!"
Moral of the story? The bike manufacturer moved their production facilities over seas. The Western Auto is now a Beef O'Brady's.
At one point "Made in the USA" was a sweat shop on Saipan. I remember reading of cases where Walmart pressured manufacturers to move their operation overseas. They would offer the manufacturer a price on their product they (the manufacturer) could not make a profit on. When told so, Walmart told them, "just make it in China". So much for loyalty, loyalty to profits that is.

Adobe is offering the software in Windows and Intel-Mac versions, and Adobe specifically mentions that they will not be offering a PowerPC version of the software.I guess this is a piece of software I qwon't look at for a few years. Then again there are other universal apps that do pretty much the same thing. And of course why switch programs once you have something that does what you want?
If the CS3 version of Photoshop is Intel only I guess it's another version I won't upgrade to. (I'm still running Photoshop CS.) Adobe is being rather stupid.
My Power Mac still has at least a couple of years of life left in it. All it needs is another couple of gigs of ram.

I think the iPhone "slim" phone will basically be like a shorter, wider iPod nano with a slightly larger screen and a slide-out keyboard - so it will be about twice the thickness of a nano. The larger iPhone Pro will be like a narrower iPod, maybe with a portrait screen orientation instead of landscape, and will again have a slide-out keyboard. I expect that the iPhone will have something like 2 GB and the iPhone Pro something like 4 GB or even 8 GB. I would be pleasantly surprised if either of these models had any expandable storage, but I doubt it. I think they will initially launch without expandable storage, and then add it later in the second generation of iPhones...

We may all be jumping the gun on this one. Apple says that Lion Server is included in the Lion preview. That doesn't mean it will be included in the final release!
Obviously developers need a copy of Lion Server to test their applications. Just like Mac Developer members can get Snow Leopard and Snow Leopard Server downloads, this is just a convenient way to package up both Lion client and server into one download.
